North West Women’s PARC
North West Women’s PARC is a Prevention and Recovery Care residential project designed for the Victorian Health Building Authority and North West Mental Health. It is a 12-bed facility providing sub-acute residential mental healthcare for women and dependent young children. It is located in a residential neighbourhood in St.Albans The building provides a safe and private environment for women and their young children. The building provides a range of internal and external communal spaces so that the women in the PARC – some of whom have young children – can choose the space that’s appropriate for them, at that time. These include sitting nooks, several lounge spaces to choose from, a dedicated children’s garden, a generous deck and outdoor sitting area, and a veggie garden.
