Orygen Youth Health Intensive Care Area

Orygen Youth Health Intensive Care Area is an inpatient psychiatric unit accommodating young people experiencing an acute mental health episode. Two new areas are provided - each with just three beds. The areas are designed to be spacious, light-filled and calming to support their care and rehabilitation.

The two 3-bed areas were created within the existing Orygen Youth Health facility and serve as an extension to an existing low dependency area. The spaces are designed to strict high-level security and safety levels but seek to be warm and inviting despite the necessary institutional treatments.
