Williamstown Hospital Community Hub

The Williamstown Hospital Community Hub is a small “oasis” providing community access space at the heart of the densely developed and aging Williamstown Hospital site. The lily-pad/tree canopy motif, used throughout the lounge spaces and two courtyards that make up the hub, distinguishes this area from the remainder of the hospital as an area for relaxation, reflection, and conversation. The lounge is made up of series of seating and meeting areas with differing configurations and seating types to suit a range of group types and sizes – from individuals to family groups. The central courtyard includes a series of seating areas and a pathway set under canopies which connect the hub lounge to the existing café.
