Grampians PARC
Grampians PARC is a Prevention and Recovery Care residential project designed for the Victorian Health & Human Services Building Authority and Ballarat Health Services. It is a 12-bed facility providing care for clients aged 16-64 with diagnosed mental illness requiring sub-acute healthcare. It is located in a residential neighbourhood consisting of freestanding single storey housing within a heritage precinct in Ballarat. The building connects three existing heritage buildings. Between the existing and new buildings, a series of courtyard spaces were created providing two functional outdoor areas - a quiet courtyard and an active courtyard - and a series of viewing courtyards. The facility includes a range of activity spaces, a staff area including a sleep-over area, a family lounge and communal living areas.
